Who we are
Assistance League Chicagoland West is a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Founded in 1996, we are one of 120 chapters of Assistance League, a national organization that has been transforming lives and strengthening community since 1935.
Each year, our members volunteer thousands of hours and touch the lives of thousands of residents in need across DuPage and western Cook counties.
What we do
Our all-volunteer membership identifies unmet community needs, structures programs to fill those needs, and raises the funds necessary to deliver quality solutions.
Our philanthropic programs measure community need as well as the passion of our members. As local needs change, our programs adapt accordingly. Thus we are always evaluating new ways to serve.
how we do it
Our largest fundraiser, Books & Brunch, along with sponsorships and donations, supports all of the chapter’s philanthropic programs.
Beyond monetary donations, we partner with individuals, businesses, foundations, and other community organizations to develop volunteering and giving opportunities. We work with businesses to establish discounted purchasing arrangements and in-kind donations. We are always looking for new business partners, donors, and members to help us help others. We would like to work with you. Learn more here.
